Dimmi come sei stata coinvolta per la prima volta in NEXTON?
La collaborazione con NEXTON® è iniziata quasi per caso. Ho scoperto questa startup nella lista degli stage offerti dal Politecnico di Torino e ho subito inviato la mia candidatura. È stata davvero una fortuna aver scelto questa azienda, poiché mi sono ritrovata sin da subito immersa in un ambiente giovane e dinamico, dedicato al miglioramento del futuro ambientale.
Qual è stata la tua prima impressione di NEXTON?
La prima volta che ho incontrato il team di NEXTON® è stata durante il colloquio per il tirocinio. Fin dall’inizio, ho notato l’enorme potenziale di questa startup, non solo per la soluzione innovativa che offre, ma anche per l’approccio con cui affronta il lavoro. È un gruppo di amici che lavorano insieme, creando un ambiente di lavoro accogliente e genuino, sempre aperto a ricevere consigli esterni. Questa impressione iniziale si è consolidata nel corso dei mesi di tirocinio e di lavoro per la mia tesi, facendomi sentire parte integrante dell’azienda e del team.
Perché hai scelto di collaborare con NEXTON in questa posizione?
La mia collaborazione con NEXTON® aveva l’obiettivo principale di gestire e monitorare, insieme al team, il progetto di validazione della loro soluzione. Volevo mettere in pratica le conoscenze teoriche acquisite durante gli studi universitari e allo stesso tempo comprendere da vicino le responsabilità e le mansioni della gestione progetti. Grazie all’esperienza con NEXTON®, ho acquisito una chiara visione del ruolo che desidero ricoprire nel mio futuro lavorativo.
Qual è stato l’aspetto più impegnativo di questa posizione lavorativa?
L’aspetto più impegnativo della mia posizione lavorativa è stato comprendere la tecnologia dietro la soluzione offerta da NEXTON®. Non avendo un background tecnico, spesso ho trovato difficile capire i vari processi di produzione. Tuttavia, il team è stato sempre pronto a spiegarmi tutti i concetti chiave, consentendomi di acquisire rapidamente una conoscenza approfondita della soluzione e di utilizzare il giusto linguaggio tecnico.
Cosa ti ha sorpreso di più lavorando con NEXTON?
La cosa che mi ha sorpreso di più nella collaborazione con NEXTON® è stata la loro disponibilità nel guidarmi lungo il mio percorso. Ho sentito di colleghi che hanno intrapreso percorsi simili in altre aziende e la loro esperienza è stata spesso deludente, con scarsa guida e coinvolgimento. Al contrario, NEXTON® mi ha coinvolto fin da subito e mi ha aiutato a raggiungere i miei obiettivi.
Se potessi cambiare qualcosa su NEXTON, cosa sarebbe?
Sinceramente, non cambierei nulla su NEXTON® poiché hanno creato un ambiente di lavoro sano e orientato al raggiungimento degli obiettivi. Vorrei solo incoraggiarli a continuare a imparare e migliorare costantemente.
Puoi parlare di alcune persone che hai incontrato mentre lavoravi con NEXTON?
Durante la mia collaborazione ho avuto l’opportunità di incontrare tutti i membri del team. Ho lavorato principalmente con Davide e Gerardo, che mi hanno guidato attraverso il processo di lavoro, e con Alberto, Alessio e Fabio, che mi hanno illustrato la tecnologia alla base della soluzione.
Qualcuno in particolare ha influenzato la tua decisione di lavorare con NEXTON?
Nessuno ha influenzato la mia decisione di lavorare con NEXTON®, poiché non avevo alcuna conoscenza preventiva dell’azienda. Tuttavia, consiglio vivamente di collaborare con NEXTON® perché offre un’esperienza unica nel suo genere: l’opportunità di apprendere in un ambiente amichevole e sano, senza rivalità o arroganza, una rarità in molte aziende odierna.
Cosa pensi cambierà nella sostenibilità nei prossimi cinque anni?
Credo, e spero, che nei prossimi cinque anni vedremo un cambiamento radicale nella sostenibilità. Stiamo assistendo a numerosi eventi che ci fanno riflettere su questa tematica delicata, e penso che NEXTON® possa offrire una soluzione intelligente ed ecologica per il futuro dell’illuminazione pubblica e privata.

A Unique Perspective from a Former Intern: Her Experience with NEXTON®
Tell us how you first got involved with NEXTON?
My collaboration with NEXTON® began somewhat serendipitously. I discovered this startup in the internship listings at the Polytechnic University of Turin and immediately submitted my application. It was truly fortunate that I chose this company almost by chance because right from the beginning, I found myself immersed in a young and dynamic environment dedicated to improving the environmental future.
What was your first impression of NEXTON?
The first time I met the NEXTON® team was during the interview for the internship position. Right away, I noticed the immense potential of the startup, not only in terms of the innovative solution they offer but also in the spirit with which they approach their work. It’s a group of friends working together, creating a friendly and genuine work environment that is always open to external input. This initial impression was reinforced during my months of internship and thesis work, making me feel like an integral part of the startup and the team.
Why did you choose to collaborate in this role with NEXTON?
My collaboration with NEXTON® had the primary goal of managing and monitoring the validation project of their solution alongside the team. I wanted to put into practice the theoretical knowledge gained during my university studies while also gaining a close understanding of the responsibilities and tasks of project management. Thanks to my experience with NEXTON®, I have a clear vision of the role I want to take on in my future career.
What was the most challenging aspect of this job position?
The most challenging aspect of this job position was understanding the technology behind NEXTON®‘s solution. Not having a technical background, I often found it difficult to grasp the various production processes. However, the team was always ready to explain all the key concepts, allowing me to quickly acquire a thorough understanding of the solution and speak the necessary technical language.
What surprised you the most about working with NEXTON?
What surprised me the most about working with NEXTON® was their willingness to guide me along my journey. I’ve heard from colleagues who embarked on similar paths in other companies, and their experiences were often disappointing, with little guidance and involvement. In contrast, NEXTON® immediately engaged me and helped me achieve my goals.
If you could change something about NEXTON, what would it be?
Honestly, I wouldn’t change anything about NEXTON® because they have created a healthy work environment focused on achieving goals. I would only encourage them to continue learning and improving continually.
Can you talk about some of the people you met while working?
During my collaboration, I had the opportunity to meet all the team members. I mainly worked with Davide and Gerardo, who guided me through the work process, and with Alberto, Alessio, and Fabio, who explained the technology behind the solution.
Did anyone in particular influence your decision to work with NEXTON?
No one influenced my decision to work with NEXTON® since I had no prior knowledge of the company. However, I highly recommend collaborating with NEXTON® because it offers a unique experience: the opportunity to learn in a friendly and healthy environment, free from rivalry or arrogance, which is rare in many companies today.
What do you think will change in sustainability in the next five years?
I believe, and hope, that we will see a radical change in sustainability in the next five years. We are witnessing numerous events that make us reflect on this delicate issue, and I think that NEXTON® can offer a smart and ecological solution for the future of public and private lighting.
